When you have many things at hand at the same time — sales, business consulting, startups, soccer fields — the most tiring thing is not doing it, but having to open four different places every morning to find out what happened last night. This control panel collects all four on one screen.
Why do I do it myself instead of buying software?
Commercially available management software is designed for one type. As for my ecosystem, each segment has its own type: ALT Luxury is retail, Business Surgery is project-based services, WemeStartups is model incubation, WemeSports is hourly stadium operation. Putting it all into an existing model is distorting the truth. So I wrote something that fit the way I was doing it.
What can this board do?
- Collect four arrays in one place, each array keeps its own index, not randomly added to a common number.
- Delegation of authority by role: The owner sees the whole picture, the department head sees his section, and the salesperson only sees his part of the job. With the same link, each person opens a different picture.
- Switch roles and log in right on the first screen to see how the authorization mechanism works - this is to explain to guests faster than telling.
- Light/dark interface, view on computer and phone.
- The part that has been connected to real data is recorded as a real number, the part that has not been connected is clearly marked sample data — it's better to say it straight than let viewers think it's a real number.
What I learned while making this
The hard part is not the coding. The hard part is deciding What each role needs to see to make decisions, and get rid of numbers that are just pretty and not useful for anything. A good dashboard is the one that makes the person who opens it know what to do first today — not the one with the most charts.
Want to check it out
The online version requires a password to get inside, because it is tied to real operating data. Click Open app to see the login screen and role selection mechanism; If you want to see it in full, send me a message, I'll open an account and take a look around.
